How do risk assessments and safeguarding work?

This is the part that decides whether a tour happens at all, so it is worth being plain about it. Revel provides risk assessments covering travel, accommodation, fixtures and excursions, and the documentation your school needs to take the trip through its own approval process.

Tours are insured, and we work with accredited partners rather than whoever is cheapest that week. Every booking carries financial protection.

If your school has a particular form, a governor's committee or a local authority process to satisfy, say so early and we will work to it. It is far easier to write documentation to a school's format at the start than to retrofit it a fortnight before departure.

What happens if our numbers change?

They always do. A school tour is quoted on estimated numbers, and stays flexible until ten weeks before departure, which is long past the point where most sign-up lists settle down.

If numbers move inside that window we adjust the itinerary rather than the price — your per-person cost holds unless the group drops below the minimum size, and that minimum is stated plainly in your quote rather than buried in terms.

Nobody should have to guess a final headcount in September for a trip that runs in July.

Do you organise school football trips to the UK?

Yes — and it is worth saying plainly, because it is the single most common thing schools search this site for. Revel organises inbound trips as well as outbound ones: international schools bringing a squad to England, Wales or Ireland to play against British club and school sides.

The International English Summer Cup exists for exactly this. It is a three-day tournament in England for touring teams from the UK and abroad, and for a lot of international schools it is the anchor the rest of the trip is built around — fixtures, hotels, transfers and stadium days arriving as one organised tour rather than a dozen bookings.

Book your flights however suits the school — your own dates, your own airline, and the baggage allowance a squad's kit actually needs. Your coach is waiting at arrivals and everything from that moment is ours: transfers, hotels, fixtures, excursions and stadium days.

Inbound trips carry their own admin, and we handle it: visa supporting documentation, dietary requirements, and an itinerary built to survive a delayed arrival.

Can we combine football with other sports or with a cultural programme?

Yes to both. Revel organises multi-sport tours — football alongside rugby, netball, hockey and cricket — which is how a lot of international schools travel, with more than one squad on the same trip.

Cultural and educational content sits alongside the sport rather than competing with it: stadium visits, museums, city excursions and team-building days, built into the itinerary rather than sold as extras on the day.

How do parents pay?

Individually, and directly to Revel. That is the single biggest difference from how most school trips are run, and it is worth understanding before you start.

Your tour becomes a share link. Every family books their own places on it, pays their own deposit and settles the balance in instalments that suit them. No school bank account holds parents' money, no member of staff chases payments at the school gate, and no one keeps a spreadsheet of who has paid what.

You keep a live view of who has booked and who has paid, at any time, without asking anyone for an update. Revel sends the reminders.
