THE TRIP
Trofeo Mediterráneo is played in Malgrat de Mar on the Costa de Barcelona-Maresme in March, drawing around 200 teams — boys at Under 11, Under 12, Under 13, Under 14, Under 15, Under 16, Under 17 and Under 19, and girls' competitions at Under 13, Under 15, Under 17 and Over 17.
The tournament opens with a parade: teams walk through the city and into the stadium for the opening ceremony, national anthems, then the opening match. Matches run on artificial turf pitches along the coast through to quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals, closing with an awards ceremony and cup presentation.
Malgrat de Mar sits within reach of Barcelona and Camp Nou, an optional trip during the week for teams who want it.

THE FORMAT
HOW THE FOOTBALL
WORKS
Sat 20 Mar: arrival in Malgrat de Mar, check-in and welcome at the meeting point. Sun 21 Mar: teams meet at the stadium, parade, opening ceremony with national anthems, opening match, then matches by schedule. Mon 22 Mar: matches by schedule; optional excursions all day; beach soccer in the afternoon. Tue 23 Mar: matches by schedule; optional excursions; evening "Resume" review with Spanish food and a presentation exchange with the town hall. Wed 24 Mar: quarter-finals and semi-finals in the morning, finals in the afternoon, awards ceremony with cup presentation in the evening. Thu 25 Mar (Holy Thursday): departure. Two extra days may be booked to extend the stay (tournament staff remain on site).
Age groups: 11 vs 11 (big field) — U13, U14, U15, U16, U17, U19 juniors. 7 vs 7 (small field) — U11, U12 juniors. Girls: 11 vs 11 — U15, U17, Over17. 7 vs 7 — U13.
