THE WEEKEND

The English Easter Cup is the flagship, played over the Easter weekend with clubs travelling from across Britain, Ireland and Europe.

It's more than a tournament — it's a complete family getaway. Teams stay together in holiday parks on the North Wales coast, with indoor pools, entertainment and the kind of evenings that turn a squad into a club. Age groups run U7 to U16 for the boys, with dedicated girls' sections too.

Every side gets a full fixture card across the weekend — and with Chester, Liverpool and the beaches on the doorstep, the hours between matches take care of themselves.

WHAT'S IN THE WEEKEND

  • Easter weekend fixtures, U7–U16 plus girls' age groups
  • Holiday-park life — pools, entertainment, the whole club together
  • Clubs from across the UK, Ireland and Europe
  • Medal ceremonies that end the season's first big weekend

HOW IT FEELS

THE REVEL
WEEKEND

01
Games/recreation

ARRIVE

Friday afternoon. The buses roll in, lodges get claimed, kit gets dumped — and within the hour kids who've never met are having a kickabout. By dinner the holiday park already sounds like one big club social.

02
A player striking the ball in front of the Revel tent, parents on the touchline

PLAY

Tournament football done properly — a full fixture card for your age group, a competition that finds your level, and touchlines three-deep by mid-morning.

03
Two teammates leaping into each other after a goal, flags up behind them

CELEBRATE

The goal pile-ons, the flags on the touchline, the parents louder than the players. This is what the weekend is actually for — and it's for the whole family.

04
Pool/waterpark clear

BOOTS OFF

Pools, arcades, go-karts, the beach — tell us what the squad's into and we'll help set it up. The hours between matches are half the reason clubs come back.

05
A squad lifting the cup on the Revel podium under falling confetti

MEDALS & LIGHTS

Medal ceremonies for the young ones, finals for the older age groups — then the showbar takes over. Nobody's asleep before the encore.

The tournament is the reason to come. Everything around it is yours to shape — tell us the kind of trip you have in mind and we build the itinerary, the transport and the timings around the football.

STADIUMS & HERITAGE

STADIUMS & FOOTBALL HERITAGE

The North West is home to some of the game's biggest grounds. Build a stadium tour, a museum visit, or match tickets into your stay, on the days that work.

Old Trafford from the air, the Manchester skyline behind it
  • Old Trafford tour & museum

The stadium tour and museum at Old Trafford, on a day it isn't hosting a match. A morning or afternoon slot fits either side of festival football.

  • Etihad Stadium tour

Behind the scenes at the Etihad — dressing rooms, tunnel and pitchside — booked for a non-match day and built around your fixtures.

  • Anfield stadium tour & LFC museum

The Anfield tour and LFC Museum, from the players' tunnel to six decades of silverware, on a day the stadium is free of matches.

  • Everton's new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock

A tour of Everton's Hill Dickinson Stadium on the Liverpool waterfront, where public tours are on offer, worked around match-day closures.

  • National Football Museum, Manchester

Four galleries and interactive exhibits covering the whole history of the game, a straightforward half-day in Manchester city centre.

  • Premier League or EFL match tickets

A live match added to your stay where the fixture list allows and tickets are available — we check the calendar and build around it.

TRAIN WITH THE PROS

TRAIN WITH THE PROS

Extra football on top of the festival, run by coaches who work in the professional game.

  • Coaching session with a local professional club

A session run by coaches from a local professional club's academy set-up, added to your stay on the right dates and built around your squad's level.

  • Friendly fixture against a local side

An extra match against a club from the area, arranged around the festival draw and subject to a willing opponent being free that day.

  • Goalkeeper or skills clinic

A focused session for goalkeepers, or a technical skills clinic for the squad, run alongside the main festival programme.

DAYS OUT

DAYS OUT

Chester, the North Wales coast and Merseyside are all close by. A free morning or afternoon can easily carry a day out, built into your itinerary.

  • Chester city day

The Roman walls, the amphitheatre and the medieval Rows — a walkable city day, close to the festival.

  • Chester Zoo

One of the UK's largest zoos, an easy half or full day out for a squad with some energy left after football.

  • Zip World, Eryri (Snowdonia)

Zip lines, forest adventure and underground slate-cavern activities in Eryri National Park, a change of pace from the pitch.

  • Conwy Castle & the North Wales coast

Conwy's medieval castle and walled town, with the coast road alongside it — a half-day out from the holiday parks.

  • Cheshire Oaks outlet

The UK's largest outlet centre, with a leisure park alongside it for bowling or a cinema trip if the squad wants both.

  • Rhyl beach

The beach and seafront on the doorstep of the Rhyl parks — an easy, unstructured afternoon between fixtures.

  • Tenpin bowling evening

A relaxed evening off the pitch at a local bowling alley, a good way to close out a day of festival football.

TELL US WHAT YOU'D LIKE TO DO

A line or two is enough. We come back with a full itinerary, priced for your group, with the football at the centre of it.

PLAN THE TRIP

HOWEVER YOU TRAVEL

Drive up the day before the football starts. Everything from the moment you park is ours.

BY ROAD, FROM ANYWHERE IN THE UK

Most clubs drive. Coaches, minibuses and a convoy of parents' cars, arriving the day before the football starts.

BY FERRY, FROM IRELAND

Dublin to Holyhead puts you about an hour from the North Wales coast, which is why the Easter Cup works so well from Ireland — with Rosslare to Fishguard as the southern crossing. We can also collect the squad by coach from your own region and include the ferry, so the trip starts at the clubhouse rather than the port.

THROUGH THE TUNNEL, FROM EUROPE

Calais to Folkestone for clubs bringing their own coach across.

BY AIR, FROM ANYWHERE

Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham and London are the usual arrivals, but we are not closed to any airport. Your coach meets the group at arrivals, and a Revel rep can be there too if you would rather be met by a person than a placard.

THE FORMAT

HOW THE FOOTBALL
WORKS

Day one runs a group format, with teams usually playing three to four matches. Fixtures are staggered across age groups, so squads typically play in the morning or the afternoon — less waiting around, and the rest of the day free for the park.

Day two is seeded from day one's results: top-performing teams compete for the Revel Cup, middle-ranked teams for the Revel Challenge Cup, and lower-ranked teams for the Revel Shield — so the weekend is built around teams playing both days against opposition of a similar standard, still in the hunt for silverware. Fixture counts and the number of cups follow the entries in each age group.

After each final, teams take the stage with music and the families in full voice, and medals and trophies are presented.

THE PARTY LIVES AT THE PARK

STAY & PLAY

The football is only half the weekend. The whole tour stays together on park — and once the boots come off, the evenings take over: fancy dress, karaoke, live entertainment and a dance floor full of teammates and parents. It's the part of the festival nobody plans for and nobody forgets.
