Girls Football Tours and Tournaments

Girls' football has been the fastest-changing part of most club junior sections, and the touring calendar has not always kept up. So here is exactly what we run for girls teams, what we can promise and what we can't — and the question we would rather you asked us first.

THE 2027 SEASON

WHERE THE GIRLS
CATEGORIES RUN

Which Revel Football tournaments have girls-only categories?

Every Revel Football tournament currently runs girls-only categories: Girls Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16.

ENTERED AS A GIRLS TEAM

They are girls-only categories, entered separately from the boys' age groups — your girls team enters as a girls team and plays in the girls competition.

COMPETITIVE — CUPS AT EVERY AGE

All three girls age groups play as competitive football — 9-a-side at Under 12, 11-a-side at Under 14 and Under 16 — with cups on the line the same as every boys' category at that age.

EVERY GIRLS CATEGORY

THEIR OWN
COMPETITION

What does a girls team actually get?

THEIR OWN COMPETITION

Your girls team enters as a girls team, in its own competition — not as an add-on to the boys' weekend. The same pitches, the same stage, the same finals and the same medals as every other category at the tournament.

MEDALS AND TROPHIES

Every girls category runs as competitive football: medals for all finalists and trophies for the winners of each final, presented on stage in front of your families with the music up.

THE WEEKEND ITSELF

Whichever tournament you enter, your girls team gets the same package as every other category there — the accommodation, the evenings and the organisation that come with that particular weekend. A named Revel team member takes the organiser through the booking rather than leaving them with a form.

WE WANT THIS TO GROW

HARDER TO FILL.
SO WE FILL IT

Girls entries are harder to fill — here is what we do about it

You already know the part most brochures leave out. Girls entries land later and move more than the boys', age group by age group, and a category that looked healthy in the autumn can be thin by Christmas. Most girls sections have had a season of ringing round to get a side out.

We are not neutral about that. These categories exist because we want the girls game to grow, so filling them is our job rather than yours. We work the entries all season and go out to girls sections around each tournament rather than waiting to see who turns up. Where the demand is there we will open a category for it. And the live picture is yours whenever you ask for it — entries are visible to us in real time.

If your age group still does not come together, you hear it from us early rather than late, and we build you something that does work instead — a tailored trip with fixtures arranged against clubs we know. Your girls travel and they play either way.

ASK US FIRST

Tell us your age group and we'll tell you who's already entered

Send us the tournament you are looking at and the age group your girls play in. We come back — within one working day — with the clubs already entered in that category, how entries are tracking, and an honest read on whether to hold your place now or wait a few weeks.

If the entries aren't there yet in your age group we will say so, and then tell you what we would do instead. Either way you are working from facts rather than a brochure line.

GIRLS CLUBS & SCHOOLS — AN ASK

WOULD YOU
HOST A TEAM?

Would you host a travelling team?

The best fixtures come from a local club or school that wants the game as much as the visitors do.

So we are building a register of girls sections who would welcome a travelling team — a friendly, a place at your own tournament, a joint session, whatever suits your season. Put your club on it and when we have girls travelling to your area, yours is the first number we ring.

No commitment and nothing to pay. It is simply how the girls game gets more fixtures, and the more clubs on the list the more girls football actually happens.

AGE GROUPS YOU COULD PUT OUT

No commitment and nothing to pay. We will only get in touch when there is a team near you.

BEYOND THE TOURNAMENTS

A TRIP OF
THEIR OWN

Can we arrange a trip just for our girls team?

Yes. Alongside the tournaments, Revel Tours arranges football tours for girls teams — fixtures, travel, accommodation and a tour manager, built around your squad, your dates and your budget rather than a fixed tournament weekend.

That is the route a lot of girls sections take when they want a trip of their own rather than a slot in a wider tournament. Tell us the squad, the ages and roughly when, and we will cost it.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

Which Revel Football tournaments run girls-only categories?

Every Revel Football tournament currently runs girls-only categories: Girls Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16. If your squad falls outside those ages, ask us — a tailored trip for your girls team is often the better answer.

Do girls play against boys' teams?

No. The girls categories are girls-only and are entered separately from the boys' age groups — a girls team enters as a girls team and plays in the girls competition.

What format do the girls categories play?

Girls Under 12 plays 9-a-side; Under 14 and Under 16 play 11-a-side, the same formats as the boys' age groups. All three run as competitive football, with cups on the line.

What do the girls categories play for — medals or trophies?

Both. Every girls category runs as competitive football, and every finalist receives a medal while the winners of each final receive trophies, presented on stage after the finals in front of your families.

Where does a girls team stay at a tournament?

Accommodation is part of the package at every tournament, on the same terms as every other category there — the exact shape (holiday park or hotel) depends on which tournament you enter. Families choose their own accommodation from live availability and pay Revel directly.

Can you arrange a football tour just for our girls team?

Yes — Revel Tours arranges tailored tours for girls teams with fixtures, travel, accommodation and a tour manager, built around your squad, your dates and your budget rather than a fixed tournament weekend.

What happens if the girls category we want doesn't fill?

You hear it from us early rather than on the day. Entries are visible to us in real time, so if your age group is not coming together we say so — and we offer to build a tailored trip instead, with fixtures arranged against clubs we know, so the squad still travels and still plays.

Can our club or school host a travelling girls team?

Yes, and we would like to hear from you. We keep a register of girls sections who would welcome a visiting team, and when we have girls travelling to your area those clubs are the first we contact. There is no commitment and nothing to pay — add your club through the form on this page.

How do we find out who has already entered our age group?

Send us the tournament and your age group and we will come back within one working day with the clubs already entered in that category and an honest read on how the entries are tracking.

WHAT THEY REMEMBER

YOU CAN'T PUT A FIXTURE LIST
ON A FRIDGE DOOR.

Medals round necks, finals with something riding on them, and an evening the parents talk about longer than the football. See the weekend before you book it.
