26–29 MARCH 2027 — ROME, ITALY
ROMA INTERNATIONAL CUP 2027
AGES U9–U17
THE TRIP
This one runs over the Easter weekend itself — Friday 26 to Monday 29 March 2027, Good Friday to Easter Monday — rather than a nearby weekend, so build your travel dates around the bank holiday, not a normal Saturday–Sunday trip.
Matches are played out on the eastern edge of Rome, at a multi-pitch sports centre in the Borghesiana area, with games also using a second ground, Castelverde, elsewhere in the city. Both sit well away from the tourist centre, out past the ring road.
Categories run from Under-9 to Under-17, open rather than split by gender, with formats stepping down by age — eleven-a-side for the older groups down to five-a-side for the youngest. There is a free day built into the middle of the schedule.
Ciampino is the airport to fly into — it sits close to the pitches, while Rome's other airport, Fiumicino, is well across the city on the far side from the grounds. Revel meets flights from the UK and Ireland and handles transfers from arrivals to the venue and back for every fixture.
Revel arranges the accommodation for the stay, entry for your teams, and a rep with the group throughout.

We meet you at Ciampino
Ciampino is the airport for this one — it sits much closer to the pitches than Rome's other airport, Fiumicino, which is well across the city on the far side of Rome from the grounds. Ciampino is served from both the UK and Ireland, so book flights to suit the families; we are at arrivals when you land.

Built around your group, your dates and your numbers — tell us those and we price it.
WHILE YOU'RE HERE
MAKE MORE OF THE TRIP
The tournament is the reason to come. Everything around it is yours to shape — tell us the kind of trip you have in mind and we build the itinerary, the transport and the timings around the football.
TRAIN WITH THE PROS
TRAIN WITH THE PROS
Extra football on top of the tournament, run by coaches who work in the professional game.

Play A Football Fixture
Revel arranges a friendly against a club side from the area on a spare afternoon, so the squad gets an extra game that sits outside the tournament draw. It depends on finding a willing opponent who is free that day, and we confirm it once the fixtures are out.
DAYS OUT
DAYS OUT
A free morning or afternoon can easily carry a day out, built into your itinerary.

Tenpin Bowling
A relaxed evening off the pitch at a local bowling alley, a good way to close out a day of festival football.
TELL US WHAT YOU'D LIKE TO DO
A line or two is enough. We come back with a full itinerary, priced for your group, with the football at the centre of it.
THE FORMAT
HOW THE FOOTBALL
WORKS
Categories run Under-9 to Under-17, and every category is open rather than split into separate boys' and girls' divisions. Formats step down by age: the four oldest groups play eleven-a-side, the next two play nine-a-side, the next two play seven-a-side, and the youngest group plays five-a-side.
Categories are set by birth year, counted from 1 January, rather than by school year. A UK squad picked from a September-to-August school year will usually have a few autumn birthdays that fall into the category above, so check the table against your squad list before you enter and talk to us if it splits the group.
The schedule runs Good Friday to Easter Monday, with a free day built in partway through — useful for a squad that wants an afternoon off the pitch as well as its football.
| AGE GROUP | BORN | FORMAT |
|---|---|---|
| U17 (Open) | Born 2010 or later | 11-a-side, 2x30 min |
| U16 (Open) | Born 2011 or later | 11-a-side, 2x30 min |
| U15 (Open) | Born 2012 or later | 11-a-side, 2x25 min |
| U14 (Open) | Born 2013 or later | 11-a-side, 2x25 min |
| U13 (Open) | Born 2014 or later | 9-a-side, 2x20 min |
| U12 (Open) | Born 2015 or later | 9-a-side, 2x20 min |
